West Ham set to move for Sané

West Ham are reported to be interested in dominant Brdeaux star Ludovic Sané with manager Sam Allardyce aiming to strengthen his Hammers side for next season with the intention of chasing European Football and, or cup success.

During Big Sam's reign as West Ham boss he has brought in some very good players who have cost the club very little and hopefully Sané continues the pattern as the holding midfielder is touted for a move to Upton Park. The 6ft 3in Bordeaux star can also play in defence which would offer the Hammers a versatile option in case of potential injuries.

The 26 year old currently wears the number 6 and hopefully this holds some significance although the number has been retired now. Unfortunately for Hammers fans and Bobby Moore himself, the last player to wear the legendary number was former captain Matthew Upson who showed little enthusiasm in his West Ham days.

Having not heard much of Sané it is very hard to say what sort of player we could be bringing in but rest assured, Sam Allardyce knows what he is doing; after all he did sign Jussi Jaaskelainen who proved most if not all people wrong!

Sané's contract is soon to run out at Bodeaux with the strong midfielder being tied down till 2014 and hopefully such short time left will allow West Ham to capture the versatile Frenchman on a cheap deal paving the way for bigger summed deals to take place.

For the time being with little know on such player, all us West Ham fans will have to rely on Allardyce and co's knowledge of the game, hoping that Sané becomes a West Ham great and not another Savio Nsereko.
