A quick round up from the Leagues in Italy and Germany.......................
Bayern show no mercy to Hamburg
Juve edging closer to retaining title Juventus took a significant step towards a second successive Scudetto by battling their way to a 2-1 victory over Inter in Saturday's Derby d'Italia at San Siro. The former Cagliari man, Alessandro Matri created the opener for Fabio Quagliarella with a sublime dummy before then popping up to net the winner, after Rodrigo Palacio had briefly levelled matters for Inter Milan. Elsewhere in the Serie A the race for the champions league spot is still being pursued by AC Milan, where they travelled to Chievo to get a 1-0 win, thanks Riccardo Montolivo who scored the only goal for them, with Mario Balotelli being the inspiration for the team. This also made the Rosoneri win 4 consecutive games. Lazio fired two goals in the space of two minutes at the Olimpico on Saturday to complete a notable 2-1 comeback success over Catania, with goals coming for the blues coming Miroslav Klose and Antonio Candreva.
