The Rhode to Upton Park

West ham has once again been linked with Scotland international Jordan Rhodes. The touted deal could see the prolific finisher move to Upton Park in an £8million deal from Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers.

West ham manager Sam Allardyce recently stated that due to financial fair play rules, the hammers may be forced out of a chance of signing top priority Andy Carroll, and has therefore been looking for cheaper players.
This isn’t the first time the East End club have been linked with Rhodes, who fired Huddersfield into the Championship after scoring 36 goals in the English league 1. Rhodes also picked up the league 1 player of the year too.
Rhodes is currently playing for Blackburn Rovers and has netted 23 times in just 28 outings. The fine finisher was linked with West Ham last season following impeccable goal scoring runs throughout the whole of the season, however the 6ft 1in Scotsman signed for Blackburn as the two clubs swapped leagues with West ham taking their premier League spot.
If this deal goes ahead, Blackburn will have made no profit what so ever after they signed Rhodes for £8million plus add ones.
The striker has picked up some great records over his footballing career. He is the youngest ever scorer of a hattrick, he has the fastest ever headed hattrick; he has the joint most goals in a game (5) and is the Scotland U-21s all time leading goal-scorer with 8 goals in 8 outings.
