Norwich hold Swans
Norwich City fans have this year become accustomed to drawing football matches. 14 matches in all have been drawn by City this year and as a result the club is still looking over its shoulder at the possibility of relegation.
Swansea started the game dominating possession- as I and many others knew they would and fashioned a few good chances in the first 30 minutes. As boss Laudrup said to MOTD afterwards the Swans dominated the first 30 minutes and should have been 2-0 up before Norwich’s first goal.
Before 10 minutes, Michu scored the first goal of the game after combining well with Luke Moore but thankfully for me and 25 thousand other home supporters his “goal” was ruled out for a foul on Jonny Howson. Swansea deservedly took the lead in the 35th minute after de Guzman cut the ball back into the path of the Spaniard who fired high into Lee Camp’s goal.
After the opener Norwich appeared to find their gear and then, 40 minutes into the game Kei Kamara set off down the right hand side and released the over lapping Elliott Bennett who then crossed into the box for the onrushing Robert Snodgrass who planted the ball into the back of Vorm’s net with a smart header.
One goal each at half time was hardly a fair reflection of the first 45 but it was a sign of improvement from Norwich who had actually scored a goal!!
The second half started much more equally with both Kamara and Moore having chances for both teams but it was Norwich who took the lead for the first time in the game with Michael Turner smacking home a freekick from Elliott Bennett in the 60th minute.
The lead didn’t last long though with Moore equalising merely 15 minutes later after a well worked Swansea corner.
